OService is great but they leave food out too long before refreshing it. Nothing is worse than chewy stale dumplings or fried food that is like leather. The variety is good. It's too bad that I didn't get to taste it fresh. The flavor was good. Nice try, I was there at 6:30pm and asleep in bed in my hotel at 9pm. Shame on you.

Let's be honest: nobody goes into a chinese buffet expecting some amazing, gourmet meal; it's quantity over quality. Unfortunately, despite the natural low bar of a buffet, L & D just does not meet any of my expectations. The seating area is old and dated. It seems clean, which is good, but you enter the restaurant and it just feels... bad. On top of that, the service is slow. The staff are nice and friendly, but slow to seat you and generally absent when you need them. Also, the chopsticks I got had the name of a restaurant in Idaho so I'm not sure what's going on there. Now towards the food. While there are some okay dishes, like the egg drop soup and the pork, most of it is barely passable. The rice is the worst part, it's very short and kind of mushy, which is does not make a good fried rice. It all really leaves much to be desired. Maybe it's the dated and dingy decor that's pulling the whole place down and making me biased towards the food, but it was not a good experience, and I'm not going to go back again unless they make some major changes. The worst part is that a good ethnic place, especially a buffet, is really needed in Helena, and it's proximity to the capital complex makes it a perfect spot for lunch, but this place fails to hit the mark on every account. I guess it's back Panda Express for me...

We walked in an hour before close and there was nobody there on a Sunday. The lady/owner hovered over our table reached over our food and cracked our crab legs for us repeatedly like more than three times. I've never been to a place were the staff invite themselves to touch your food. Seriously she just started grabbing our food. The food was so-so, some of it tasted like it wasn't cooked thoroughly. The selection isn't great. Prices are kind of high for the quality and selection. Probably won't be back. The service was pretty good all things considered except for the gal touching our food that was not cool.

Food taste has certainly gone down as has freshness. The sign says new owner, new attitude, it is the same, nothing gets better. Probably my last visit there. The place needs a remodel and serious cleaning. Only improvement I see is better signage above the food with alergy warnings.

We’ve eaten here on and off over the years and it’s been good, with good service. I had heard they have new ownership, and our experience yesterday was not great. I miss the music and service before, and the food. Too bad:( Update-for a relatively tame review, the owner’s response was less than professional and certainly not geared as much toward keeping customers. That’s unfortunate.
